equalized recording followed by orginal
2:42 minutes stereo H.263 QuickTime movie with IMA:4 sound

I found that I could alter this stereo recording with equalization to create a number of impressions. It has surprisingly pleasing wide range tonal range even though the location was quite loud and the mics were no closer than 12 feet from the nearest sound source or reflective surface. I made a number of closer ones but this one had the best overall tonal balance. It was recorded with a Parallel Boundary Mic Rig like those we made in Sound 420 last semester with EM158 mics mounted with 2" inset.
The results would have probably been very similar with the Sound Professional "lavaliere" mics we have in checkout (with Panasonic WM-61A capsules). The recording was made in the Golda Meir Library courtyard close to the main entrance. Rob D.
